Prideful, snobby and cold, Narcissa is the perfectly stereotypical Slytherin figurine. She strongly believes in the importance of blood purity and values her family’s wealth greatly, which is why she’s always looking down upon others who are not as gifted or accomplished as she is. Despite her beliefs and close ties to the world of darkness, Narcissa chooses to stay out of it. While she treats most of the people coldly, there are certain persons who she’d be willing to give her kindness and devotion, if they managed to pierce through her thick skin. She displays fierce and protective behavior on the behalf of her loved ones but by no chance lets her actions to be quicker then her mind.

Having dragged her friend into the room, Emma heaved a big sigh and followed Cissy to her own bed, lying down next to her and burying her face in the pillows. It was embarrassing; at least it was for Emma, to be faced with this debacle. The boys she’d hooked up with had never held any romantic connections or desires with her or for her, so she had never had to worry about anything like this. Until now.
Sighing, she removed her face from the confines of her pillow and turned to her friend. “It’s about Reg,” she admitted, blushing shyly. “everything’s going to shit and I don’t know what to do.” Cissy had always been the better one with guys; she knew how to talk to them, how to flirt, how to get a guy’s attention. The only thing Emma could do with boys was play Quidditch and hang out, at the most. Other than the occasional hook-ups with random boys in broom closets and at parties, Emma had never really had an official boyfriend.
“Reg as in… my cousin, Reg?” She giggled, chewing on her bottom lip, “How is it going to shit baby? I personally think you two are adorable together. Honestly, if people are causing problems just ignore them.” she waved her hand dismissively in the air. “People like to cause shit. Who is it? I’ll hex them into oblivion. It’s been far too long since I’ve taken action.”
She rolled on her side, resting her head in her hand as she looked at her friend. She was having a similar situation with Lucius, well, she could only assume she was. It was hard to play her games when she was buried behind mounds of books. Her parents demanded nothing but perfection from her— it was hard, living up to her parents expectations while trying to find a husband, something her family still demanded.
“I don’t understand people this days.” She scoffed, brushing a few more locks over her shoulder.
Emma paced the floor of her dormitory, waiting for Cissy to come up and talk with her. She’d shooed out the rest of the girls that were sitting and chatting, only wanting her and her best friend in the room. It was so silly of her, getting all riled up because of some silly boy. No, she was wrong; he wasn’t silly, he was Regulus. The boy she’d known since she was five and also the one she’d fallen in love with when she was seven. Everything was just falling to pieces; Burbage knew, Potter had somehow figured out, who knew what was going to happen after that. If only she could go back to when only she knew of her secret desires for the younger Black boy.
The blonde fell back into her bed in a huff, almost exhausted from pacing the floor and thinking about this. She hoped Cissy would come up soon, or else she might just pick out the piles of candy she had stored in her closet and just eat them all. Granted, she would just burn it off in Quidditch practice, but still, that was a lot of candy. Shoving a pillow onto her face, Emma sighed loudly, the sound muffled. Hearing footsteps, she jumped up from her bed, threw her pillow down, and ran over to the door, opening it and dragging her friend in.
“Cissy, you’ve got to help me!”
Narcissa really needed to kick the habit of vanishing without notice— it was suspicious and she knew people would talk, not that she cared all that much, but she detested rumors and people adored spreading them about the youngest Black sister.
Upon her return to civilization, she’d been hurriedly confronted by her best friend, Emma, and she put aside her task of ‘re-introducing’ herself to the mass of Slytherin boys that had migrated near the fireplace of the common room. Bidding the boys goodbye, she made her way up the stairs, getting stopped once or twice by a friend, asking how she was and where she’d been.
She quickly shrugged them off and made her way towards her friends dormitory, but she had no chance to knock before she was dragged into the room, the door closed behind her in a hurry.
“Merlin, Emma! Calm down. What’s gotten you in such a tizzy?”
She flipped some of her blond locks over her shoulder and moved towards the girls bed, taking a seat before she fell back against the pillows, getting comfortable.
“Tell me what’s wrong, darling. I’m sure we can figure your little problem out.”
She turned her head, flashing a grin at her friend.
I can’t say it out here. Too many people… Can we go to the dormitory?
